Don't be surprised if Henrik Lundqvist plays in Sweden

Next set of games to be cancelled this week
Posted by Toby Ivey ≡ 10:26:17 AM - October 15, 2012

The NHL and NHLPA remain far apart despite talks scheduled for Tuesday, and the chances of playing before Thanksgiving seem increasingly remote.  With games already cancelled through October 24th, Howard Berger reports that the league is likely to announce this week, cancellation of games through to November 7th.

This latest cancellation will almost certainly mean the chances of completing an 82 game season will be very low, but that a 72 game schedule would still be possible.  Even still, to get that many games completed in the remaining time (and scheduling challenges), will require a resolution within the next two weeks in order to prepare for the season.
