RUMOR MILL

Tuesday - October 25th

Either Josh Jooris (New York Daily News) or Dylan McIlrath are likely to find themselves on waivers when Pavel Buchnevich returns from back spasms.

The team is expected to cut the roster down to 22 players, and as such one of the two will need to be either moved or sent down.

The King was not going to be denied! 5th straight Game #7 win!

7th Heaven

The New York Rangers made history last night by coming back from a 3-1 deficit for the first time ever in their history by beating the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game #7 last night 2-1. The Ranger players had a morning skate of joking and bonding and it seemed from all reporters like something special could be on the way. Brian Boyle scored the 1st goal of the game by again being in front of the net on a great passing play. Coach Alain Vigneault has been in question about how he handles his teams in the past in big games, but last night he did a stellar job with having the right players on the ice at the right times. The team is playing inspired hockey since the passing of France St. Louis mother of Martin St. Louis, and maybe an angel may have just helped with that one save where the puck hit a loose stick in the crease and just went up into Henrik Lundqvist's armpit. After the Rangers celebration on the ice, the handshake line was memorable as always but moreso this time as the Penguins(almost all) gave condolences to Martin St. Louis, which shows how sports is superceded by real life events.

I could watch this ALL DAY!!!!!

This Rangers team seems to really believe in each other throughout the lineup, including the Black Aces (the players who are with the team in case of injuries or a need for lineup changes such as J.T. Miller, Jesper Fast, Rafeal Diaz, Justin Falk, etc..). The Rangers have really pulled together and have made it to the Conference finals for the 2nd time in 3 years. This time it is with different leadership as Captain Ryan Callahan is now in Tampa and Mr. Game 7Brad Richards (unbeaten in 7 game 7's in his career) game winning goal by streaking down the middle of the ice and a great pass by MSL for the 2-1 that would not be relinquished. The King Lundqvist is now 5-1 all-time in Game 7's with a 1.00 GAA and a .965 save % and set an NHL record  of 5 straight Game 7 wins.

The Rangers now wait for tonights winner of the Boston Bruins and Montreal Candiens game 7 to see who they will play and what the schedule will be. No matter what happens in tonights game and the Rangers next series, there will be an Original 6 team in this years NHL finals coming out of the Eastern Conference. The Rangers need to rest up and prepare for their next opponent as during the regular season which means nothing in the playoffs, they were 0-3 against Boston and 1-1-1 against Montreal so the Rangers don't care who they play, they will just have to play Rangers hockey and let the games play out.

As Bon Jovi sings, " We're Half Way There..... Whoa Hoa Living on a Prayer....."

8 Down.....8 To Go!!!!!!!!!!!

LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
