RUMOR MILL

Tuesday - October 25th

Either Josh Jooris (New York Daily News) or Dylan McIlrath are likely to find themselves on waivers when Pavel Buchnevich returns from back spasms.

The team is expected to cut the roster down to 22 players, and as such one of the two will need to be either moved or sent down.

The King Stole Game #2

Dueces Wild! Rangers Up 2-0 Next Game 22nd
Posted by Michael M. Ramos ≡ 7:36:19 PM - May 20, 2014

The Rangers are a team on a mission. The Rangers are lead by Henrik Lundqvist in the net and a great defense corp that has the top 4 playing over 20 minutes a game. The Rangers leaders at the forward position are doing what they were brought here to do, control the puck and score. It is amazing how the Rangers have played in this years playoffs on their current 5 game winning streak going 10-6 overall this postseason so far. The Rangers have won 10 games and are only 6 more wins from the ultimate prize.

This team has really rallied around each other and have used it's speed and skillset to slip past the Flyers and Penguins while looking solid in the 1st 2 games against Montreal. Montreal fans are a traveling fanbase so expect to see many at the Worlds Most Famous Arena on Thursday. The Ranger fans need to be as appreciative as they were in Game #6 against the Pens. This team deserves for the fans to be standing and going all out showing their appreciation for the Blueshirts while also drowning out the Montreal fans. A quick strike and win by the Rangers would get the New York fans into a frenzy while sending the Canadien fans out the door and keep them away for game #4.  The Rangers need to play with the desperation they have in the last 5 games which have all led to wins! The Rangers can't let off the gas pedal and give Montreal any momentum and go back north with the series tied at 2 games.

Rick Nash has found his game just at the right time. The announcers are all saying he is doing the "little things" within the game, but the Rangers gave up Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov, Tim Erixon, and a pick for a scoring power forward that has a cap hit of $7.8 million per year. This is his type of series where he can not only play physical against a smaller opponent, but where he can use his scoring skillset in the "hard areas" and he has scored in both games this series. Brad Richards is doing exactly what he was brought in to do, lead by example and in the locker room. Martin St. Louis is showing he is a bigtime leader and scorer besides the rally point for the team after the death of his mother France.  Derek Stepan is making a statement to not being traded this coming offseason after holding out before settling his contract (Last player to do that was Dubinsky and DelZotto and we know how they both ended up after hard contract negotiations). Ryan McDonagh ismaking Montreal remember their terrible trade for Scott Gomez every shift he plays and makes Rangers GM Sather or Asst. GM Jeff Gorton look like pure geniuses by not only that trade but by signing McDonagh to the 6 year caphit of $4.7 million per which is a steal in the NHL for a #1 dman. Every player is not only doing their job, but also giving the extra needed to keep the Rangers team moving forward.

The Rangers now return the Madison Square Garden with a 2-0 lead and with a win on Thursday can get a strangle hold on this series. Anything less than 110% from the Rangers will let Montreal get back into the series and go into this weekend down 2-1 with all the momentum.

10 down...6 to go!! LET'S GO RANGERS!!!
