McAvoy left the Bruins' 5-1 win against the Sabres on Wednesday after being hit into the boards by Sabres forward Zemgus Girgensons at 13:46 of the third period. Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said after the game McAvoy was "good" after getting stitches above his eye. "Let's hope he wakes up healthy and feeling good. Have some turkey [Thursday] and ready to go Friday," Cassidy said.

That was a big win, the Bruins had won 4 of 5 coming into today's game (the loss a 4-0 shutout to the red hot Flames), and 6-2-0 at home this year. Below par 1st period, though again they found a way to escape with a 1-1 tie...and then they got their game going and took it away from the home team in the third

Another nice W as Rangers roll along. Nice outing by that scrub Hunt and Gautier coming on. Gallant proving to be a pretty good tinkerer making good changes as games move along. If he gets Lafreniere, Chytil and Gautier going look out.

Gauthier had a solid game, he is gaining confidence like never before.
Trouba had an awful game, the EN goal notwithstanding. Giveaways and poor positioning in the first two periods, not his best game by far. But everyone has an off night.
The pattern remains the same: the Rangers wear down their opponents, their pace, speed, and now physical play, allows them to dominate the 3rd period. They've done it to a lot of teams, including twice to the Leafs, and now Boston. That is this team's identity so far in the young season.

Kakko kind of touched on the problem last season being make a mistake and boom on the fourth line for the rest of the game. It was a common theme with the young guys. He likes Gallant not sweating a mistake, and feels free to play his game. I'm sure the other young guys do to. And it's starting to pay off.
