Rookie Posts: 171 ![]() | I'll play along. Why would Nashville have traded Weber for Hank when they already have a goalie with a 7 mill cap hit for the next 2 seasons in Rinne (who also seems to be doing okay against the Hawks with 0 goals allowed through 2 games). 15.5 mill tied up in goalies? Maybe if we would have started with McDonagh they would have listened...maybe. As for the Brooks article, it was spot on. He is 100% right, and great quotes by Zucc and Hank also. Pathetic.

Im sick to death of these players after every game telling us the "we need to be better" bs...Henrik is better than Rinne...and they have a better Coach too Edited by Mikey Red 2017-04-17 7:56 AM

Rookie Posts: 171 ![]() | I think Hank is better than Rinne also, but no shot Nashville adds the highest cap hit goalie in the league to pair with the 2nd highest cap hit goalie in the league. Even if Hank is a little upgrade. And I agree about the hollow comments, but at this point that's all they can say is the truth. We'll see if they actually can/will do something about it.

Maybe they could've traded Rinne to Edmonton who wouldn't have Talbot

All-Star Posts: 4209 ![]() | At least let the axe fall before making moves. I m sure if the right team for Lundqvist to be interested, offered the moon for him the Rangers need to listen. The question is will the Rangers be able to retool ther lineup and COACHING in time to take advantage of Lundqvists soon to end career. If not its the dilemma choice of get the maximum value for a soon to diminish asset, or do you let him retire a Ranger.

Bottom line is this, if this is another 1st round elimination for the Rangers its time to make a bold move. Two years ago they probably could've gotten a kings ransom for Lundqvist (like what I did there?). If they kept Talbot, or traded for Raanta like last year, would they have been any worse than two 1st round exits?? I actually think they would be a better team with the assests they could have received.

Gotta do whats best for the team not the player Rangers have a history of letting guys walk for nothing. Most recently Yandle. I'ts get what you can at the right time before it turns to nothing. It's a shame we are talking trading a guy who has been responsible for losing a handful of games in a 12 year career. And gave the Rangers a chance to win just about every playoff game he's been in. But that's business.

Put Klein with Staal as the 3rd pair. I guess AV wants Skjei on the 3rd pair, so that's why he has Staal/Smith as the 2nd pair. And I try not to be critical of AV, but why the line juggling: Jimmy Vesey-Mika Zibanejad-Mats Zuccarello Rick Nash-Derek Stepan-Michael Grabner Chris Kreider-Kevin Hayes-Jesper Fast J.T. Miller-Oscar Lindberg-Tanner Glass Hate Fast in the top 9. Moving other guys all over the place. Kreider with Hayes. Zib with Zucc. Grabner up. I think it is too much. Don't like it, and hate Fast in the top 9 in general, but especially when the 4th line was playing so well. Hope it works out for AV, otherwise he will have questions to answer. It didn't all work out... Changing the lines made the Rangers look out of sync and lost...., Montreal almost lost two games at home... they didn't change their lines.

Well brace yourself for game four. After proclaiming his fourth line was his best, he's going to break it up and sit Glass. To play Buchnevich. I don't have a problem with Buchnevich in at all. But Glass has been good at doing what he was supposed to do and the door has swung wide open for Montreals disturbers to disturb unaddressed. Glass has done a nice job of making Montreal defensemen hear footsteps with some quality hits. Silly, silly move, it's the perfect time for double mint to make a statement and supported by most fans he could have sat, in no particular order Zibanejad, Hayes, or Grabner, and hope the shock wakes up Miller, Kreider and Stepan. Grabner might be a surprise to some but with the exception of a breakaway goal hasn't done much but blow snow and make weak or no plays along the wall. Julien is licking his chops knowing his boys can take some liberties and crash the net knowing no one will do much about it. Montreal is going to up the aggressiveness Tuesday night and try to send this back to Montreal for the swan song. This kind of move is coaches signature. Breakup what's working and leave what's not working alone. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
