Rob are you fortunate enough to have off today too? and why do you get stuck with second shift?

Because we're short staffed of course. I work at a butcher shop as 1 of 3 butchers.... the other two are the manager and assistant manager.... one is currently on vacation.... so yeah rarely do I get the good morning shift.

Tonight I get out at 8, so I'll miss the first period...

Going to the game in Newark tomorrow, though!

I also hope you are a Union Butcher!

Nah that would be nice, but I still get benefits and paid vacay, so not a bad gig. Better than any job I could get as a chef cooking anywhere, anyway. I'll let you all know when I start my food truck, though

Sean Day, Dawson Leedahl and Sergey Zborovskiy to Wolf Pack per Zipay

Says these goalies will both play half the game tonight and tomorrow.

Lundqvist will get the full game at home against Philly, and Pavelec will get the full game in Philly

Kreider-Zibanejad-Zucc
McDonagh-Shatty

Staal-Smith
Grabs, Nash, Desjardins... all should be in the lineup tomorrow night, also per Zipay

Gropp just turned 21 Most forwards don't make this team in a prominent role until they are 22. Gropp is also a finisher. If you put him with reject centers, he won't do much. Go down the list of forwards on this team that made the team at 20 and had a significant impact. You would probably find none. Buchnevich was 22 last year in April. He stunk most of the time on the big squad last year. I don't hear dopes calling him a bust.

I think Days getting some tough love is all. No one knows how he was at the Ranger training camp, maybe hurt or maybe didn't earn a game in the practices and maybe he's getting a kick in the ass. He's still at a age where players typically get sent back to junior, only qualifying to play in the AHL because he has played four years of major junior hockey. I think he's going back to junior and will take it as a huge step for him to stick and be a factor in Hartford.

Buchnevich Chytil Miller line tonight....
Kreider Zibanejad Zuccarello tomorrow night....

That leaves
Nash Hayes Vesey
as a second line if Chytil makes the team! Huge game for the kid. That line looks great on paper

Grabner Andersson Deshernais/Fast 4th line

Day not getting a game is insignificant to me. It would have been nice to see him vs pseudo-NHL talent but he wasn't making the team out of camp regardless and it's a better use of the games to evaluate the guys who have a shot. I've said all along Day needs a couple years in the AHL, so it's fine to let him start there. If he gets sent down to Juniors from the AHL - that could be trouble.

At this point it's Pionk's job to lose, but if they are afraid of trade criticism they might keep DeAngelo instead. Bereglazov is on the outside looking in and if he doesn't make it he'll go back to the KHL, which is fine too because it means we've identified a young defenseman who can play here.

No I'd say you have to stick for over a year, maybe a year and a half, in order to get a "varsity jacket." Still, buchnevich played for half a season and scored 20 points, which is a pretty impressive rookie debut.

The Rangers have announced that the following players are being sent to Hartford

Forwards: Ryan Gropp, Malte Stromwall, Adam Tambellini
Defensemen: Alexei Bereglazov, John Gilmour, Vince Pedrie
Goaltenders: Alexandar Georgiev, Chris Nell

No real shockers, maybe Bereglazov only getting one game. But that's coach if a player doesn't fit his cookie cutter mold he's gone. Be interesting to see what Bereglazov does, he needs to go to Hartford and get North Americanized but will undoubtably flee for the fatherland and the bigger rubles and come back next year with the the same issues.

Expect Catenacci, Kosmachuk, Schneider, and Fontaine to get the slip tomorrow. Maybe one of Nieves or Desjardins, as it looks like Chytil and Andersson are sticking around for a bit more. The more you watch those two the more it looks like they will be around for a while.

Desharnais missed last game, missing next game, only one left after that. Double mint yapping in a post article he was pencilled in as third center when he was signed like I said. Personally I don't want him would rather go with Chytil, Andersson and Nieves as a extra guy. Desharnais is under contract maybe they can flip him and Nick.
