AB, I know its seems impossible that it would happen, but, just think of what the return would've been. Not to mention Cams numbers have been close to Lundqvists numbers while playing in Edmonton. His numbers this year might even be better than Hanks

It’s a totally disfunctional slow start. A lot of issues on the blue line.

Well be interesting to see who double mint pins the blame on once he’s got Chytil on the bus to the airport. They are going to need a forward which means a promotion for someone. Nieves or Fontaine likely. Hard to believe Holden or Kampfer don’t get a start and any one of DeAngelo, Smith and even Skjei could sit.

Perhaps, maybe not after two games... But I hope his rope is very short. I'm not crazy about AV, and also feel coaches, in general lose their team over several years. But I will not obsess, after every goal against, or loss.... that AV must be fired... it is what it is... After 20 games, the Rangers may be 15 -5.

This teams issues got exposed tonight. On defense Shattenkirk and Smith showed defensive issues Smith in particular looking like he should be sat let alone third pair. Shattenkirk looking like the second or third pair he was before coming to the Rangers. Two key signings expected to play up the lineup instead of where they had, what could go wrong. DeAngelo some kid mistakes and surely will be double mints fall guy tomorrow. If the Staal and McDonagh pairing doesn’t work going forward as a shutdown pair the Rangers are in a world of hurt, because Shattenkirk is not the answer.
The Chytil fiasco should be over without ever being given a chance. And then start finding a couple guys in Hartford to replace Desharnais, Chytil and Carey. The fourth line is non existent and Fast is going to need some company when he comes back. Pickem two out of three of Desjardins, Nieves or Fontaine. By the looks of Garry’s NHL they better be able to spend copious amounts of time killing girly penalties.
I like Kreider, Zibanejad, Buchnevich, and Nash, Zuccarello and Miller. Hayes, Vesey, and Grabner should last until Fast’s first game and second period when double plugs him in Grabner spot and that might just work. Gonna be some double mint gems in coming interviews.

You're preaching to the choir... The team, like many teams are put together by many people and many circumstances... Then the coach, who has some say, has to coach / cook the ingredients he has. Personalities, personnel all thrown together.... Historically, with the exceptions of one or two years, the NY Rangers seem to make the same mistakes, equaling the same results for decades.

I don't care how many points Wade hangs up this year , he's (through two games) a bad defensman, and I think that's why no one dropped major coin on this guy .
So outside of Mac, DAngelo sucks, Skiej is learning, Staal Is slow, Smith has wedding hangover and our scratches are borderline NHL'ers. I regard Holden more than that, but the Rangers have killed his trade value

Skjei is not learning. He's learned. Unfortunately, he's playing with dopes who turn the puck over every 2 seconds. As one poster here said. DeAngelo should be moved to forward, sent to the Pack and spend a year learning the position. He has NHL offensive talent. He has no ability to play defense from what I've seen. Graves should have made this team from day one. It was a disgrace he didn't. He should be recalled. Staal needs to sit in the stands all season. Even if he waived his NTC, I doubt they could get anything for him. They probably would have to retain 35% of his salary and include a decent prospect just to get rid of him.

Felt Nash who now could be dealt to teams because it's the last year of his contract, should have been dealt in the summer. He's nothing more than a role playing, defensive forward now. His little, pop gun shot is quite sad. I would have rather gone with Tambelliini and tried to develop something there. I thought he got better as camp went on.

I don't see this as a playoff team. I see it as a terrible defensive team with a terrible defense system and an aging goalie would almost would need a team playing the trap to cover up his age. Basically, the team will be drafting in the top 10 this year. The turnovers last night had nothing to do with Toronto's speed. It had to do with the fact that our coach and GM are putting dumb players out on defense, in a dumb system which is all run and gun and doesn't value size, toughness and position play. Same crap that has been happening for 2 years. Nobody is making any changes.

IMO, Fontaine was great as well during camp. He had at least one glorious scoring chance each game. Didn't finish but he's the type of player this team needs more of. I would much rather seem him out there than Carey or Desharnais. Not to mention, our idiot coach needs to be giving Vesey first line minutes. I thought he was the most improved player in camp.

I would go

Vesey-Zibanejad-Zucc
Buch-Hayes-Miller
Kreider-Chytil-Grabner
Nash-Fontaine-Tambellini and then Fast for Nash. Trade him already.

McDonagh-Shattenkirk
Holden-Skjei
Graves-Smith

This win for Hank crap needs to stop. This team should be in the least, a partial rebuild. Then see if you can get that dumbass Shesterkin away from his Russian club.

Let's have expectations of our high paid defensemen shutting down their speedy forwards. I'm fearful of this not being the case, and expect a high scoring game.

Followed by a low scoring snooze fest tonight against the Diens.

Because Shesterkin should have signed an NHL contract for AHL money to play in the ECHL, instead of signing an expensive 3-year KHL contract.

Tony D boned us with turn overs

I don't think AV or Ruff told him to do that

I don't think they told their players to come out flat footed in the 1st period.

I blame me.... I missed the 1st period both games... I should be home just in time for the puck to drop tonight, though!

This win for Hank crap needs to stop. This team should be in the least, a partial rebuild. Then see if you can get that dumbass Shesterkin away from his Russian club.

Why is Shesterkin a dumbass? Or is this just how you speak?

Because Shesterkin should have signed an NHL contract for AHL money to play in the ECHL, instead of signing an expensive 3-year KHL contract.

Eddie ! don't go tonight...they haven't earned your money and time yet

If you got free tickets from a vendor in the form of legal bribery, what would you do?

Tony D boned us with turn overs

I don't think AV or Ruff told him to do that

I don't think they told their players to come out flat footed in the 1st period.

I blame me.... I missed the 1st period both games... I should be home just in time for the puck to drop tonight, though!

You single out Tony D and blame him for the loss. Lol. Seriously you might want to watch shatty and a few others back there.

Shatt has a goal and two assists. If you're going to mess up, at least make up for it.

Shattenkirk has a higher expectation than DeAngelo and yet DeAngelo has a better plus minus. If Shattenkirk continues on his current trajectory he very well might be playing on the third pair with Tony DeAngelo. With the exception of McDonagh and Staal the rest of the defense sucked period.
