Nothing against Kampfer he did his job, but he is not in the long term plans and playing him over players that might be, at this point in time is just dumb. And so Chewy. How long before the Rangers start signing guys for Hartford so they can call them up instead of Ryan Graves? Somebody or somebodies doesn’t like him.

I’m interested in seeing this guy. Has the package, did he just not mesh with Detroit’s Grand Rapids coach, or is he another very good junior and not so good pro. Sometimes a change can bust a guy loose.

Yeah real surprised Graves doesn't get his shot. Sproul has been putting up decent numbers though.

I have never heard a name before but I do like that call of youths.
Let them taste a real hockey game and then who knows what happens.
Question is will he really get a chance to play.

Bullshiiiit. I watched him all camp. He's not too slow. That's dumbfukkkkk's AV's stupid philosophy on defenseman. He wants smaller pussies, who don't hit anybody, can't clear the crease and don't know how to play defense because they are quicker and can pass. We all know where that has led this defense lately. This should sound familiar. A-Hole Torts only wanted players who would block shots with their faces all game. Renney only wanted players who tried hard and played defense trying to win every game 1-0. In other words. AV is well on his way to getting fired.

This is the Citi Field Curse. The Rangers are dropping just like the Mets have done for the past few years. And all this started after they played in that dumb game at Citi Field. Yep, it's a Curse. They must've built that stadium on some old Indian burial ground.

After his first season in Hartford there was a lot of talk that Graves was on his way to New York soon. He’s never got a shot, and it’s really unexplainable, he’s the poster child partner for McDonagh, sorta like McIlrath was a perfect third pair guy but I digress. From my observations of the chewsen ones coaching when he gets the silver bullet, it will come with a disclaimer that chewy not only didn’t do a good job of developing players, he often wouldn’t even give them a chance.

Then why are the other kid defensemen chosen over Graves? Pionk is the same age....

Read all the scouting reports, season wrapup reports, projections ect. and then I’m sure you will be asking yourself the same question. Why hasn’t he had a fair look?

It's in part handedness, Sproul and Pionk are righty and Graves is lefty.

Gilmour was arguably their best defenseman and is also their best skating defenseman so I'm not surprised at that recall either.

I don't see this as a slight to Graves at all, I think he will get his chance after the deadline.

The discussion about Graves is why hasn’t he ever got a shot, not specific to these recent call ups. There has been plenty of opportunity to have tried him in the past. The recent call ups were another opportunity. I doubt he’s going to get any kind of chance, or he would have by now. I have no problem with Pionk and Gilmour they were both good at camp and have played well. No matter Graves contract expires this year he’s gone elsewhere for a better opportunity unless he gets qualified with the Rangers and that’s doubtful.

In preseason.... Pionk was the better guy... That's all I know about it.

Graves is good, but maybe these guys are just better.

Regardless, they're all young, so I don't think Graves not getting the call up has anything to do with AV not liking kids

Pionk was no better than Gilmour in camp.
Lettieri sent down so Cody done nothing and his partner Holland do little can fill the void. They just happened to be Lettieri’s line mates, lucky Lettieri. Gotta like a shooter like Lettieri given a chance to shine with those two. Makes huge sense for a team that is headed for a rebuild. I guess they are concerned about somebody actually claiming Holland if he gets sent down.

Or, they could be thinking, lets give him lots of ice time in Hartford instead of 10 minutes a night with these stiffs.

Gorton came out and said he was the only forward they could send down without having to place on waivers. In that respect it makes sense if you are protecting a valuable asset by keeping him in New York. But losing McLeod or Holland to waivers is addition by subtraction in my books. Dump those two bring up Nieves and Lettieri and your a better team.
