Don’t look now, but the Isles are dropping like a meteor in the standings. They’ll get a better draft position by the end of the season.

Yep and they have Calgarys #1 too

No worries, them & slickless Oils are 2 loosers that never improve, all those picks & nothing. At least Crybabies, Chicago, LA, etc... have something to show for all those picks.

Yep and Tavares is a goner...no doubt about it

Maybe I’m reading into this too much but .... is it possible that Kreider had some animosity towards one or more of the traded guys on this team? McD? Nash? He’s been much more assertive and seemingly more of a leader since this guys have left. Or perhaps he’s finally healthy. Not sure.

And they will have a new General Manager to make better use of them than Snow.

I think its probably a look around the room telling him he’s a senior type guy and he needs to step it up. He's also playing lighter since he came back, and a 10 - 15 lb. weight loss can make a huge difference in your skating even a guy as fast and with the conditioning Kreider has. From the first few times I saw him in College hockey I thought he had the raw skills and talent to be a great player, and still do. Personally I think he needs a new voice, and to be pushed a lot more instead of chewys vet coddling. Sit him some shifts when he disappears, and it would light a fire under him. And indeed a normal coach would take the A chewy sewed on Alberts sweater and give it to Kreider.

I think Kreider is just a good player with a lot of raw talent, but was over thinking the game. It's all mental.

Then he got this life threatening condition where he was out. He keeps talking about how lucky he is.... I think a lot of the extra pressure he was putting on himself before the injury is gone post injury.

Instead of beating himself up about the small stuff, he's just going out and playing hockey to have fun.

I highly doubt this has anything to do with not liking Rick Nash

Or perhaps he knows AV's gone after the season so he just decided to play the way he wants.
Without AV -- no repercussions.

Or perhaps he knows that he will be out the door with AV if he doesn't start acting like he wants to be here.
