2003 draft is on NHL net right now and they just showed the Jessiman pick.....and Sather after the pick saying we have watched him and studied him......

Jessiman is on Tom Renney.

Was talking about Jessiman in another forum.... I didn't know why he never panned out. It's because he came back too early from an injury in college, and because of that never healed right. He wasn't so much of a bust as he was a poor decision maker.

Hr should've listened to Sather and quit Dartmouth after 2 years to play in Hartford. Instead he wanted to "dominate" in college, got injured, and put too much pressure on himself

He BETTER pan out

The deal is does he buy into becoming better by working on his weaknesses or does he do a Zherdev and ignore coaches. He’s a talented kid and not a stretch where the Rangers drafted him. I feel better about his upside than Andersson’s, and he might look pretty good with Chytil a year down the road. The story says he needs to be more physical and be more committed to defence, and coming back on the backcheck, certainly nothing that can’t be picked up quick, with some direction and insistence on a coaches part. I think getting him over this year and playing at least in the AHL would be a good start.

He could be another Kovalev. Kovalev learned to use his size and physicality after a few years.

Give the kid #27

Carlson stays with the Caps. 8 years 8 mill AAV. 8x8.

These deals are crazy. We are going to stay focused on the 2nd level FA's I believe. And what will we do with our RFA's. We'll find out soon.

Trotz is cool and everything.... but if they don't get a goalie they'll always be a bubble team at best.

Their Russian, Sorokin, extended his contract till 2020

Lou will find a goalie, have no doubt about that. The days of islander ineptness are over, and they will soon join the playoff spot race with or without Tavares. .

If Panarin reaches free agency next summer, Rangers will be all in. But they are not trading the three, four, five assets Jackets would demand in return. Columbus still hopes to convince him to stay.

If Lightning can land Tavares, JT Miller might be on move again.

For TB to afford Tavares they'd have to trim down for sure. They have some big ticket items on the books. Tavares has to get between 8-10 per cap hit wise you'd think.

Why not keep both? TB doesn't need help strengthening their roster. Take Miller and send them a cheap, useless player (Fast?) and a 7th.

Looking at the UFA list; nobody to rush out and throw dollars at. I'd resign Grabner and try for JVR. The rest are over the hill, has-beens and never-were. Unless there's another Gainey GM out there, what you see is what you get. And please, no more trades with Arizona; we get hosed every time,

I also would like to see TD be tried out at Forward. I dont think he has a future as a NHL defenseman ...but he has offensive gifts...or move him....and we need Forwards

my guess Tavares ends up in Toronto. Pretty much grew up right outside of Toronto and it is one of the teams he's interviewing with. If he wants to play with a contender, what better place
