This draft they just went through and the one coming up are critical and the Rangers need some quality picks. And then they need some quality development. Development isn’t exactly a Ranger strength when you look at the Andersson jerk around last year largely resulting in his Hartford assignment this year and now legitimate questions arising about the right place for Chytil to play. Some real issues starting to rear their head on the Clark, Gorton and even Quinn levels.

It is still October, take it easy. We all knew this was going to be a mess for a while. It is a work in progress and not all the parts are here yet.

That's right, I think this season you have to see who is for real & who is not. I'm beginning to like this Pionk player among few others. I think come Trade Deadline, we will see lots of moves from the Rangers. It is a work in progress, we knew this season is what they call on wall street, dead cat bounce.

Nobody expected much this year. But you have to have effort, they are supposedly pro’s and the expectation is to go down swinging not limp wristing. When you have 1/2 the team and different players every night not going, there is a disconnect somewhere. It’s not all on the players. As some point in time the coaches motivational skills comes under scrutiny. It’s one of the top coaching skills on the list when your hiring. The obvious question starting is the coach incapable of motivating or are the players incapable of being motivated. You have to get effort out of players.

The players are still dealing with a new system and are not making automatic decisions. They are not all on the same page and are playing not to make mistakes. Throw in some rookies getting regular shifts and no real top line and you have a mess. Still, they where in the game tonight.

They have to many no shows every game.. Game after game it’s to many guys not working. There’s no hardworking confused players running around out there. 1/2 are floating barely competing, even the coach has mentioned it. He doesn’t blame the system, he is continually blaming players commitment and effort. They were in a game with a team with a worse record than them that had lost six in a row or close to. Ripe for the taking but the Rangers effort was weak and it’s becoming a habit. Quinn is not throwing nuclear physics at these guys, he’s using systems, plays, tricks, power plays, and penalty killing schemes he used in College hockey. I guarantee you he’s not throwing g anything at these guys they haven’t seen, heard or played before. His philosophies and curriculum has not changed now that he’s in the NHL. Same old, same old. Hockey is not that complicated.

Getting rid of Clark would be beyond stupid. This guy had pretty much no high picks for years. Give him something to work with and he'll produce. Before last year, the last time he had a first rounder was Skjei. He's a very good, young defenseman. Unfortunately, Smith, Staal and Shattenkirk consistently drag down the play of some of the young players. One of the biggest reasons the team isn't over .500 this year is Hayes. He has sucked from day one. He needs to be put into the stands and Andersson needs to get the call up. Fontaine also who is playing very well now. Quinn never gave him a good look in camp.

No way dude...His body of work is so not good enough....and too many misses...JG is the GM and should be in charge of scouting

TD has more points (in only 3 games played!!) Than Vesey, Hayes, Chytil who have all played 11 games, more than Names, Spooner, and of course Shattenkirk who have all played 10....

He has actually doubled Shatts output!!!

Play TD! Trade Shatt

The coach may call out the next line to hit the ice, BUT, it is the players responsibility to wait for the guy he's replacing to be at the bench before jumping on.

Don't think thats something that can be completely blamed on DQ

Assistants usually change the forward lines and d pairs. One the d the other the forwards. Head Coach is just monitoring what his assts. are doing. It all falls back on the head coach but someone or someone’s below the coach are messing up, could be dumb players could be dumb asst coaches. It’s the nature of the beast to blame the coach, even though it’s on his assistants. And in fact that’s all they really do. Some piss poor communication between assistant and players.
