NHLnetwork has NYR ranked top prospect pool in the league.

Rebuild: success

As far as I know, having top ranked prospect pool has won exactly 0 Stanley cups.

Hard to call the rebuild anything at this point.

Conversely...not winning the Cup AND having a crappy prospect pool is a less appealing prospect

Tough crowd. I know I'm notoriously optimistic, but jeez. Take the good news as it comes.

This is a success as far as the rebuild is concerned. Not the complete success that a Cup would/will be.... but a success none the less

One little step left before its a success, Chytil, Andersson, Kravstov, Kappo, Fox, ect. ect must at least play well at the NHl level. If they all do wahoo, however common sense says they all won't. But the Rangers have accumulated a group that also includes a couple more defensemen Rykov and Hajek that could defy the odds and all make a contribution this season. Thats pretty good at this point, but not a success til they have some impact. .

Valeri Nichuskin signing with Colorado. Would have liked to have seen the Rangers take a run at a guy like that instead of wasting a contract on Lettieri. Still young leaving a organization that just might not have been a fit. Coaching Ruff?, then Montgomery last season. Not exactly Scotty Bowman either one. He would have been a Good project for Quinn, and he still has that mountain of potential. Competing against fellow Russians Buchnevich, Namestnikov, Kravstov and being around Panarin might have helped get him going. I think Colorado was smart giving him another chance.

Why is it common sense? These are all high end talents. I know we're use to getting hyped up prospects and getting let down.... But these aren't Grachev, McIlarath, Jesseman tier players we're talking about.

These aren't just the best prospect in our system, These are some of the best prospects in the league.

Maybe they won't ALL pan out, but most of them will.

Nothings certain till it happens, all I'm ssying I think we're just in disbelief... NEVER in our franchise history have we buillt a team heavily relying on the draft like this.... at least not with this level talent and upside across the board

When they do it will be a success. I mentioned Nishuskin in another post. As good a prospect as all but Kakko. So far he's done nothing. Ranger fans need to be a little cautious about overhype. Common sense, law of averages call it what you want, they won't all be impact players. If they are then you are seeing a true anomaly. Same as Andersson snd Chytil last year they all have it to do. Fox is already beating out DeAngelo on here, and he hadn't played one game. Exciting the possibilities and potential but a long ways to go yet Rob.

Yeah, again, nothing is certain till it happens.... All I'm saying os these guys are all high end talent. Common sense tells me some could over exceed expectations just as easily.

The 1978-1979 Rangers went to the finals on a core of Ranger drafted players. Hickey, Duquay, McEwen, Greschner, Vickers, Murdoch, Marois,Deblois, Dave and Don Maloney ect. This new bunch has some ground to cover to earn your best ever rating.

I'll be in the hospital with pneumonia till further notice. 3-5 day the say
Woke up slurring my words... Still have a stutter. Lots of fluid in my left lung. They may transfer me Monday to get it drained.

Till then antibiotic drip is my only real friend. As long as I'm better by preseason
