RANGERS (16-12-3) at DUCKS (13-15-4)

4 p.m. ET; PRIME, MSG, NHL.TV

The Game

The New York Rangers will try to continue their recent success on the road when they visit the Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center on Saturday.

The Rangers are 5-1-1 on the road since Nov. 23 and 2-1-0 on their four-game road trip following a 6-3 win at the San Jose Sharks on Thursday.

The Ducks, who lost to 2-1 to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday, are 4-9-4 since Nov. 3 and haven't won two in a row in that span.

Players to watch

Rangers forward Mika Zibanejad has eight points (five goals, three assists) in nine games since he returned to the lineup after missing 13 games because of an upper-body injury.

Ducks forward Derek Grant scored his ninth goal of the season in his 32nd game Thursday, three shy of his NHL career high set in 66 games with Anaheim in 2017-18.

They said it

"We've got to show up Saturday afternoon in Anaheim, have an awful lot of respect for our opponent, and hopefully learn a lesson that we have not learned the last few weeks. ... The lesson to learn is after you win one, you follow it up with a better performance." -- Rangers coach David Quinn

"We're in these games. We need to find a way to tip the scales and get on the right side of them. You can talk so much about being so close and being right there, but eventually you need to get results." -- Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler

Rangers projected lineup

Chris Kreider -- Mika Zibanejad -- Pavel Buchnevich

Artemi Panarin -- Ryan Strome -- Kaapo Kakko

Greg McKegg -- Filip Chytil -- Jesper Fast

Brendan Lemieux -- Brett Howden -- Micheal Haley

Brady Skjei -- Jacob Trouba

Brendan Smith -- Tony DeAngelo

Ryan Lindgren -- Adam Fox

Henrik Lundqvist

Alexandar Georgiev

Scratched: None

Injured: Libor Hajek (knee), Marc Staal (undisclosed)

Ducks projected lineup

Rickard Rakell -- Sam Carrick -- Jakob Silfverberg

Max Comtois -- Adam Henrique -- Ondrej Kase

Nicolas Deslauriers -- Derek Grant -- Carter Rowney

Hampus Lindholm -- Josh Manson

Cam Fowler -- Erik Gudbranson

Josh Mahura -- Korbinian Holzer

John Gibson

Ryan Miller

Scratched: Devin ShoreMichael Del Zotto

Injured: Nick Ritchie (knee)

Status report

Staal is a game-time decision. ... Smith will move from forward to defenseman if Staal can't play. ... Lemieux practiced Friday in San Jose and is expected to return after not playing Thursday. He was injured in a 3-1 loss at the Kings on Tuesday.

Stat pack

Panarin had a hat trick against the Sharks and has five goals and two assists during a three-game point streak. ... The Ducks are 1-10-3 when outshooting their opponent this season. ... The Ducks are 4-6-4 in one-goal games, which is the second-lowest winning percentage in the NHL (.286); the Nashville Predators are 3-3-5 (.273 percent).

2-2 starting the third on the road, most coaches would take that.

Gibson was good, & won the game, some big saves. Some other players have to score.

Had a 2-0 lead, and then a 3-2 lead in the third. Hank gave up two pretty bad goals. With the OT or SO losses he's 7-10 on the season.

How bad is the Rangers D? Mighty Ducks can't score for sh-t, PP is really bad, & still had 40 shots. It is amazing this is NOT being addressed.

It's been like this since AV took over -- personnel changes have not made any difference.
