2/21 CAR - 6 points ahead in second wild card spot
2/22 SJS - 12 points out of a wild card spot
2/25 NYI - 6 points ahead in first wild card spot - 1 game in hand
2/27 MON - 4 points behind and have played three more games
2/28 and 3/1 PHI - 7 points ahead in 3rd place in Metro and played one more game than Rangers

Not a given, but given the current form of the team, you figure you want at least 8 points, if not more

They play well vs the Canes, that should continue.

The Sharks are done, Rangers should get at least a point here.

The Isles can't score and they don't play well at the Nassau Coliseum these days.

Montreal has Price in net and that building has always been tough for the Rangers.

Gotta sweep the home and home with Phily. These are to 2 most important games of the 6.

Rangers have 27 regulation wins, more than any team that's ahead of them for the wild card spot. That alone has got to have some of those teams a bit concerned, especially the Isles who have just 22.

4 points in the bank. A win over the Isles on Tuesday at the ugly Barn in Uniondale sends the FishStick fans into panic mode.

One game at a time. Get through this deadline day, see who’s on the team and on they go,. The obvious concern for Gorton is chemistry. Deal Kreider and your seriously disturbing it. Deal Skjei, Fast not so much. Id also be surprised if they deal Georgiev. It’s looking like Hanks the third wheel if he doesn’t go anywhere else. Leading to some kind of divorce from Lundqvist this summer. If he wants to do something for the team take a trade and move on.

Well they got the first 8, but they will face arguably their greatest test with the home and home with PHI. Still 2 points behind, which shows how hard it is to make up ground in the standings.

I thought these two games would be the most important of the bunch. Philly has been almost as hot as the Rangers lately, and they can put serious distance between them and the Rangers with wins tonight and Sunday. Rangers need at least a split, 3 points out of 4 would be great.
