Now the Rangers are done as Aho steals the puck and scores 1 on 2 with a crazy backhand 1-3

The Rangers could not get past the center line 3 times in a row and then Aho stole the puck and left Tony D waving is stick at air

I hope we get the #1 pick so Quinn can make him into a soft 4th liner or make him quit the NHL like Anderson and kravtsov

Rangers played 2 good periods out of 9.

I can see why Carolina tried so hard to avoid the Rangers being their first round matchup.

Long way to go.

Meh...guess we'll see if this helps net them Lafreniere.

Goodbye, King. Good luck to you wherever you may end up.

Pathetic playoffs with empty arena and even worse hockey performances by the Rangers. Inept.

Been an OTG “guest” for >10 years, finally registered...

On top of the uninspired performance by the Rangers - I watched Pionk run the PP for the Jets with more confidence than Trouba has shown since his 1st game as a Blueshirt.

12.5% chance Lafrenière ends up in NY via the super-secret, accounting firm-validated, lottery ball selection. Just hoping the Pens get out of the 1st round so Bettman cannot give Mario another prize...

Go Wild? Root 4 Zucc?

The young players not ready especially in a situation like this, which I still think is pretty silly idea. The vets, not 1 showed up.

While I'm always disappointed with losses, I'm not going to overanalyze this series too much. It's a really odd situation, and on top of that, 11 players made their post season debuts within this series.

Not sure what 2020-21 is going to look like, but the team is very young, still has more prospects on the way including Kravtsov, Barron and Miller and is edging closer to being a playoff team. This coming season they're saddled with almost $7.5M in dead cap space (drops to $2.5M in 2021-22) and they have one more year of Lundqvist, Staal and Smith (which accounts for $18.55M).

If Lundqvist was to decide to retire, then that's $8.5M there (although if it was me, I certainly wouldn't).

Still plenty of questions over the make up of the team, though they did show they were capable of getting hot and being pretty competitive in the league. If a couple of these young guys can get going then I think perhaps they're 3 years away from competing seriously for the Cup, maybe even 2 years if lots of things break their way.

I don't like how this "rebuild" has gone at all. There were promising signs early on following the Miller/McDonagh trade, but I don't like a lot of what's happened since. I don't like how Gorton has gone about this, I don't like Quinn as a coach, and I really dislike DeAngelo as a person and a player.

There are signs of hope--the prospect base isn't terrible, but I still wonder how, during all this, did New York not find a franchise center? I realize they don't grow on trees, but I think that's the single most important ingredient behind any rebuild effort, and I don't see that player on the roster or in the system (and while I do really think he's a phenomenal and exciting player, I don't think Mika Zibanejad is a franchise #1 center).

The defense could turn into something. I despise Tony DeAngelo, but I can't deny that he's talented, and beyond him you have Trouba and Fox, and Miller should be joining the fold sooner rather than later. It's the makings of a good, but maybe not elite, defensive corps.

Goaltending appears to be where this team is set up best. Two young and very talented netminders...I think they'll ultimately have to buy out the King, which would be sad, but probably the only option at this point.

Unfortunately, if Cap Friendly is correct, the Shattenkirk buyout eats up a lot of dead cap space next year, and then it drops back down to around $1 million. NY will have to find a way to clear space somehow. I think they have one relatively rough year ahead, and then things should get a lot better. Hopefully once theyr're at that point, Panarin has a few elite seasons left and their prime prospects are ready to contribute.

Zibanejad was in the best player in the league conversation down the stretch. He was very very good. He’s got to show that he can maintain that level and if he does he’s a franchise Center. Tony D is a borderline elite offensive defensemen. has a few defensive warts like a lot of dmen with his experience. I think we will see DeAngelo more dialed into his defense and becoming a better all round defensemen this year. Guys with his offensive talent don’t grow on tree’s and the Rangers need to work with him, so he can reach his potential.
