His team was eliminated in the KHL playoffs, so they're looking to get him into the line-up

Two weeks? Just in time for the NHL trade deadline.

When Quinn comes back I give him 3 games before he's fired. I believe the team will quit on him. He must not be allowed to ruin Kravtsov like he's doing with Kakko Lafreniere and Gauthier.

Wow, 3 games? You've had him fired many times before, so I'm guessing he'll be the coach for the next 10 years. Loser...

Well it would seem that Kravtsov suffered a little bit of the same issues that guys like Buchnevich and Andersson had, which is they didn't understand how hard it was to play in the NHL and expected that their past deeds were enough. I think Buchnevich has taken some time to realize what's needed to be a top 6 forward, and he's still figuring it out (albeit has made a big jump this year). Andersson I'm not sure will ever figure it out...so the question will be whether Kravtsov has. I will give him credit for not letting his mistakes last year to derail him, so perhaps he does have the drive that is needed.

As for when he gets in, I think we're all impatient, but it's hard to break a team if they're winning and contributing. The three guys in the line-up right now who are most under pressure would be Gauthier, Blackwell and DiGiuseppe. Then again, two of those four are playing on the fourth line and finding ways to contribute, while the other has shown some signs of improvement, although I'm still not sure he'll pan out.

Ultimately it will probably come down to a choice between Kravstov and Gauthier for the third line spot. I Don't see Gauthier as a fourth liner. And Howden or DiGiuseppe duking it out for the fourth line spot.. Blackwell or Rooney aren't going anywhere until possibly plucked in the expansion draft. . Barron is another name to add to that crowd forming with Kravstov, Howden, Gauthier, and DiGiuseppe. There are only so many spots and I think you see a Howden and or Gauthier moved by the deadline. The good news its a pretty good spot to be in, as long as they make the right decisions, that time has a way of revealing right or wrong.

I think the real issue they have is that they've got too many "top 6" type forwards, and not enough energy/physical/grinder guys. I think PDG, Blackwell and Rooney are fine depth guys, but if you're going to have three "scoring" type lines, then that means you're going to need a lot from those guys. Gauthier and Howden I don't think fit in there...and perhaps the Rangers even need to trade one of their wingers to add some more grind. Just not sure how to solve it, but feels too one-dimensional at the moment

Well it would be nice if they could slide into the playoffs, which can really help evaluate players and in particular this group. I like the top two lines Zib, Kreider, and Buch and Strome, Panarin and Kakko as is. Chytil, Lafrenière and Kravstov has the talent to be a good line. Kravstov had a nice night for his first game. Guys like Kreider, Strome, Buch, Kakko, Lafrenière, Chytil, and Kravstov have to work at being more physical as a group. Rangers have some beef up front it’s important they use it. Gauthier, Howden, DiGiuseppe, Rooney, and Blackwell are in a battle for the fourth line spots. The important thing is whoever it is they compete and battle. I think before the Rangers cut into the core they have put together, they need them to get tested some more and be sure of what they have, before they start trading for a different type of player. At this point who out of the top nine I’ve mentioned should the Rangers be trading looking for a heavier player.? And I don’t mind Gauthier, Rooney, and Blackwell as a fourth line at all. At this point in time I think the Most important thing is the Rangers work with what they have and get a really good read on all their players before fine tuning.
