Not sure who is available out there, but clearly there's a big difference between Shesterkin and everyone else

Georgiev is fine, he just needs to play more often. Shesty might not be able to take the load the way hank did.

Posts: 1195 ![]() | Right now the two things hurting Kakko and Lareniere the most other than not getting first PP time are their centers. Zibanejad has sucked ass all season. Especially at even strength. Chytil is not the center you want to develop Lafreniere with. I hope that Drury has the balls to get Miller. I would have no problem with him trading Chytil, Jones, Hajek and something else to get Miller. I don't think it would take much more than that. Even if they wanted Lundkvist in that deal you have Schneider to replace him.

Posts: 107 ![]() Location: Lincoln, Nebraska | Didn’t think the hit was dirty, Trouba just happened to catch guys with their head down in almost the exact same position in consecutive games. MacKinnon is lucky it wasn’t worse. Avs were indeed a little lucky catching a tired Rangers team with an AHL goalie in net. Also lucky Darcy Kuemper was able to stop the 20 shorthanded chances the Avs kept giving up, though I didn’t love the goals he DID give up. Lundqvist with his first, I really like the defensive corps the Rangers are putting together. Poor Miller got absolutely scorched twice in this game, but made a nice outlet feed (I think it was him at least) that eventually became Chytil’s goal

Might work if Dallas retains. The other options are…not ideal. Jake Allen, Joonas Korpisalo, the Avs might get rid of Jonas Johansson with Frankie coming back but trust me, ya don’t want him. I suppose Scott Wedgewood has been okay for a patently horrible Arizona team.

Not sold at all on Kuemper, not sure he's good enough to win it all for the Avs And yes, it was Miller who pushed the puck forward to Lafreniere for the Chytil goal...the issue though has been that he's been caught flat-footed a lot this year...last year he was able to recover a lot more, and he's done that some this year, but seems to be more exposed this year.

For some weird reason the Rangers D has taken a step back, and I can't figure out why. Even Fox has, though his numbers are still quite good. Trouba's defensive game has taken mostly collapsed though, and that's making it a lot harder on his partner Miller. I'm not sure what the solution is there, but I would not continue with the Trouba-Miller pairing. At some point Shesterkin won't be able to bail them out. And I agree, Kuemper doesn't look remotely good enough at present. But he's just gonna have to figure it out.

Posts: 107 ![]() Location: Lincoln, Nebraska | As for backups, I totally forgot about Anthony Stolarz, who has been putting up near-elite numbers as John Gibson's backup. But the Ducks are likely not wanting to sell unless their current run hits the skids.
