As a Ranger fan my whole life I always hated everything about the Islanders...Except for Clark Gillies... To me he epitomized what a hockey player was. He passed away yesterday at the age of 67... He was as tough as anybody in the league and you best not look sideways at any of the Isles skilled players while he was in the lineup. He could also play the game...he put up some impressive stats during the Islanders cup years and they would not have won 4 without him. One of best ever at what he did. RIP Jethro...
