Rangers have added 34 year old defensemen Matt Bartkowkski on a PTO. He's a left handed D-man,has 250+ NHL games, but hasn't played in the NHL since 2018-10

I am intrigued at the prospect of Cuylle making this team. With our cap sit he makes sense... I thought he showed up in camp last year...But we got wingers out the wazoo....

So once again this loser organization will not commit to developing Lafreniere and Kakko properly. One cup in 80+ years for a reason.

Reading about the issues Minnesota had getting Krill Kaprisov out of Russia for training camp and the upcoming season, one wonders if Kravstov's early arrival was as much about getting the hell out of Russia and away from the crap going on over there and seeing possibilities of a 300,000-man conscription, as it was to getting over here and getting his ducks in a row for a run at making the team. Either way he has more motivation than ever to make the Rangers. One thing for sure highly doubtful he goes home to play.

Personally I thought Kakko was better last season with Zib and Kreider and then Gallant inexplicably put him with Panarin and Strome and they never did get it going. He's a good fit with Zib and Kreider. Kakko is a wall guy which they need in the OZone.  Kreider net front, Zib higher, and Kakko feeding, should be good.

Talk is Blais plays thursday. Have to wonder a bit about a guy, supposedly recovered from his severe injury, sitting the first two games.

Good point not hard to make the still has a lingering issue. No other explanation. They were talking if the Rangers made the finals last season he might have been available although doubtful he would have played.

Bit of a surprise Robertson so quick but another season in Hartford at the top end of the D down there won't hurt him.
