Entries
Entries are limited to one per individual.  In the event that it is discovered that more than one entry has been submitted by a single individual, then all entries by that individual may be disqualified.

Entrants must be registered on the Outside The Garden Forums and in good standing in order to participate in the competition

Competitions
The season will be split into seven monthly competitions (October-April).  The Entrant with the most points at the end of the month will win that monthly competition.  Tie-breakers will be decided as documented below.

An additional prize will be awarded to the entrant who receives the most points over the entire season.  Again, Tie-breakers will be determined as documented below.

All submissions will qualify for both the Monthly and Season end competitions.

Submitting an Entry
Entrants will be allowed to make changes or submit predictions up to 15 minutes before game time (EST) as listed on the OTG schedule page.  All submissions are time stamped and will be rejected on review if submitted after the cut off time has been reached.

There is no final entry date for submissions.

Competition Scoring
The following table will be used for scoring in this season's puck picks competition.  If you correctly predict the following:

A Win (W) shall be determined to be a game where the Rangers score more goals than the opposition at the end of regulation.  Entrants receive 1 point for correctly predicting a Rangers WIN.

A Loss (L) shall be determined to be a game where the Rangers score fewer goals than their opposition at the end of regulation time.  Entrants receive 1 point for correctly predicting a Rangers LOSS.

An Overtime Loss (OTW) shall be determined to be a game where the Rangers score a goal in overtime.  Entrants receive 2 points for correctly predicting a WIN by the Rangers in overtime.

An Overtime Loss (OTL) shall be determined to be a game where the Rangers give up a goal in overtime.  Entrants receive 2 points for correctly predicting a LOSS by the Rangers in overtime.

A Shootout Win (SOW) shall be determined to be a game where the Rangers and their Opponent are tied at the end of overtime and score more goals than their Opponent in the shootout.  Entrants will receive 2 points for correctly predicting a WIN By the Rangers in the shootout.

A Shootout Loss (SOL) shall be determined to be a game where the Rangers and their Opponent are tied at the end of overtime and score fewer goals than their Opponent in the shootout.  Entrants will receive 2 points for correctly predicting a WIN By the Rangers in the shootout.

Goals For shall be the total number of goals credited to the Rangers at the end of the game (including one goal for a shootout win).  Entrants receive 1 point for correctly predicting the number of goals the Rangers score.

Goals Against shall be the total number of goals credited to the Rangers' opposition at the end of the game (including one goal for a shootout loss).  Entrants receive 1 point for correctly predicting the number of goals the Rangers' Opposition score.

Final Score represents the correct prediction of the final number of goals scored by the Rangers and their opposition.  Entrants will receive an additional 1 point for getting both goal scoring totals correct.

Rangers Shutout represents the correct prediction of the Rangers holding their opponent to zero goals through regulation and if necessary overtime.  5 points will be awarded for a correct prediciton.

Tie Breakers
If at the end of a competition period, more than one competitor has the same number of competition points, the following list will be used to determine the winner.

Most Number of games where the Result was predicted correctly
Most Number of games where a Win was predicted correctly
Most Number of games where a Loss was predicted correctly
Most Number of games where the final score was predicted correctly
Most Number of games where a Overtime Win was predicted correctly
Most Number of games where an Overtime Loss was predicted correctly
Most Number of games where a Shootout Win was predicted correctly
Most Number of games where an Shootout Loss was predicted correctly
Most Number of games where the Rangers total number of goals were predicted correctly
Most Number of games where the Opposition's total number of goals were predicted correctly
Most Number of points in the season

If more than one competitor is still tied then a coin toss shall be performed by the OTG staff to determine who the winner of the puck will be.

Prizes
An autographed puck by a former or current Ranger personality or player will be awarded to winners of the monthly competition as well as for the season total.  Pucks will be offered on a first come, first server basis and will be awarded at the discretion of the publishers of Outside The Garden.

Shipping and handling will be paid for by Outside The Garden to anywhere in the United States, Canada or Europe.  Other locations will be subject to the discretion of the publishers of Outside The Garden.

Winners will be contacted via the e-mail address registered in the Outside The Garden forums.  Failure of a winner to respond within 30 days of an e-mail will result in the disqualification of the winning entry and the awarding of the prize to the runner-up.

All results are subject to the discretion of the Outside The Garden publishers and are final.
