RUMOR MILL

Friday - February 24th

So it appears the Rangers and Blackhawks are heading to a trade for Kane. Given the most likely path to freeing up money, we should see Jake Leschyshyn on waivers today, which would allow for a trade on March 3rd.

Multiple reports suggest that the Blackhawks have come down on their asking price, with Kane said to have pushed hard for a move to New York.

 RANGERS HISTORY
2002 Five weeks of Dan Blackburn in net

Dan Blackburn was one of the youngest netminders to ever appear in the NHL, and he set another milestone in the 2002-03 season by starting 18 consecutive games as a teenager.  On December 6th, he became just the fourth NHL netminder to start in 15 or more consecutive games, giving up 3 goals on 25 shots in a 4-1 loss to Buffalo.  He'd start the next three games as well, in the streak that began November 7th and ended December 14th.
