Some intrigue with former Ranger Vladimir Tarasenko, who has apparently fired his agent and hired a new one per Larry Brooks on Twitter. While there's no firm reporting, it does leave open a small possibility that Tarasenko might be willing to return to New York at a more team friendly amount.
Even with that said, it would have to be a very limited dollar value, and might have to wait until after K'Andre Miller and Alexis Lafreniere are signed. Unless Drury can find a taker for the last 4 years of Barclay Goodrow that is.

The Rangers made a deal with the Washington Capitals to bring Jaromir Jagr to the Rangers. The deal would not have an immediate impact on the team's fortunes, but would set up a return to respectively, as Jagr would lead the team back into the playoffs in 2005-06 following the NHL lockout, setting franchise records for goals and points in a season, and ending the Rangers seven season drought without a playoff appearance. |

Murray Murdoch extends streak to 400 straight games |
Winger Murray Murdoch played notched his 400th straight game as a Ranger, and ultimately would extend his run to 508 games before it was ended. A second line winger who played mostly behind the top line of the Cook Brothers and Frank Boucher, Murdoch played his entire career as a Ranger, appearing in every single game for the team from their 1926 debut until the conclusion of the 1937-38 season. |
